The Ames Free Library was designed by Henry Hobson Richardson and completed in 1879. BCA conducted interior and exterior surveys of the building, and prepared treatment plans, construction drawings, and pricing plans. BCA also studied archival materials to document interior alterations, conducted interior cleaning and finishes restoration tests, and provided construction monitoring.

This project was awarded a 2011 Achievement Award from the Boston Preservation Alliance.
