Brooklyn, New York
One of the oldest suspension bridges in the U.S., the Brooklyn Bridge was designed by German immigrant and architect John Augustus Roebling. It held the title of the longest suspension bridge from its completion in 1883 until 1903. As part of a New York City Department of Transportation initiative to "harden" the bridge for security, BCA was called in to assess the condition of vaulted spaces.
