Philadelphia's 30th Street Station was designed by the Chicago architectural firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst, and White, the successor to D.H. Burnham & Company, and was constructed by the Pennsylvania Railroad between 1927 and 1933. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, the 30th Street Station is notable for its streamlined Neoclassical design and Art Deco interior.

Today, the station is a key intermodal hub and major architectural landmark in Philadelphia. Amtrak, Drexel University, and Brandywine Realty Trust are undertaking the development of a Master Plan for the station and surrounding area. The joint planning effort represents a unique opportunity to create a single, integrated vision for the historic 30th Street Station as the epicenter of a dynamic urban neighborhood. 

As part of this Master Plan effort, BCA is performing an assessment and documentation of existing conditions for the historic station building in order to develop prioritized treatment recommendations for all historic elements of the transportation facilities.
