Waldorf Astoria

New York, NY

The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Towers was built in 1929 by Lloyd Morgan of Schutze & Weaver and is an outstanding example of intact Art Deco style.

As part of the current adaptive reuse project, BCA is responsible for the restoration of 34 historic rooms in the building, including 16 spaces that were designated as interior New York City Landmarks. The Art Deco interiors comprise a number of special finishes including decorative plasterwork, exotic wood and stone species, ornamental metals, historic light fixtures, painted murals, and mosaic and terrazzo floors.
